The Koamtac KDC300i is designed for Apple mobile device developers who wish to integrate and brand a barcode scanner into their AppStore applications. Capable of 2-way bluetooth communications with the bright and clear OLED display, the KDC300i is the first Apple approved and certified bluetooth barcode scanner with a display and fully supported developers SDK, manuals, code samples and totally available technical support.

Equipped with the powerful Adaptus^® Area Imager, the Koamtac KDC300i can read every significant barcode symbology, one or 2 dimensional, and comes with a "High Density" scanner option to read those small, high density barcodes. You can have confidence that the barcode data collection aspect of your application will perform flawlessly every time.

The bluetooth connection and power options of the KDC300i can be set using your program, or you can pre-configure your settings by simply scanning a single barcode. Note that KDC300i for your AppStore applications uses serial port protocol over bluetooth communications, so our SDK libraries are methods of finding the KDC scanner on the connected COM port, monitoring that port, pulling scanned data from the port and pushing data to the port for display on the KDC300i's screen. In order to do that successfully in the Apple iOS, the device must pass the "iphone security layer" checks. This is only possible if the device is approved for use through the AppStore. If you develop of other device platforms as well, our function and library calls are identical across platforms, so you don't have to worry about changing that part of your code during porting.
